THE TURN OF THE CENTURY

People sometimes grow quite annoyed that I can find positives in a whole lot of negatives but, that's just what I do.  If you take the negatives from this decade you wonder how we ever survived the first ten years at the turn of the century.

Sure there were horrific world events, personal crisises and the untimely deaths of some pretty incredible parents.  Way too close together in that span of ten years.  However, we were in our fifties and strong enough to go on.

I'll always remember these years for these bad things and for all the wonderful things in between.  We saw our children grow up, get married (we still have many of these weddings to look forward to) and for you and Linda, grandchildren.

The good of the 2000's certainly outweighed the bad.
